PRODUCT RUNWAY.

IIDA NPC - TECTONIC SHIFT.
Paper Texture

DESCRIPTION.

Product Runway randomly pairs top local architecture & interior design firms with innovative product manufactures, bringing them together to collectively create runway ready garments using an array of commercial interior finish materials.  In 2023, Jackson Main Architecture partnered with Kwalu to transform office and residential furniture into a stunning masterpiece emulating Tectonic Shift.

Wood finishes, metal bracings, plastic beads, aluminum fasteners, and mesh were used to fabricate a runway dress that created undulating movement with rigid materials.   I had the opportunity to be a part of the design and construction committee, as well as volunteering to model the work down a runway in front of a roaring audience of 600 - 800 people.
